Scott Rosenblum & Nicole Purcell
Fall is just around the corner... Wait, did I just say that?? Well the beauty about the Fall, for me at least, is Fashion Week! And now that I live in Los Angeles, LA Fashion Week is what will tickle my fashion fancy. So when we are all stuck in a Fall mood of dark colors, heavy fabrics, scarfs and boots, guess what? Not all is lost! Come September and October you can spring ahead to the fashions of Spring 2010. And this Los Angeles Fashion Week, Rock Media & Entertainment is going to take us there! Yes, the most perfect play on words. Being dubbed as a fashion extravaganza, Rock Fashion week will ROCK Los Angeles Fashion Week.

And as my inquiring mind wanted to know I felt a strong desire to rock (in a super rock-n-roll get up, nonetheless) to a fabulous cocktail party, and no not just for the cocktails, but to meet and greet with Rock Media’s Scott Rosenblum and Nicole Purcell. Put on by the chic PR boutique, KPR in a penthouse suite at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. Fab! Not only did I rub elbows with Los Angeles’ top fashion journalistas, but in discovering more about what Rock Fashion Week is going to bring to LA, I can’t help but to say...speed up summer, so I can get me, my Rock Fashion Week fix!!
But patience is a virtue, as we will all have to wait until October 28th for this fashion event to kick off. And then that leaves us four days filled with runway shows at the iconic Paramount Studios lot, with a finale on Halloween sure to be the hottest Halloween party in the city! (I better start working on my fashionable costume.... hmmm...) Rock Media & Entertainment is definitely making their mark by merging the worlds of fashion, Hollywood and music by giving Los Angeles just want it needs: a re-jumpstart of the Los Angeles influence back into the fashion stratosphere. Boasting shows like Richie Rich, William Rast, Perry Ellis, Sean John, Fredricks of Hollywood, Marc by Marc Jacobs and my favorite? A benefit show called The Pink Dress Collection where pink dresses from a multiple of designers will be showcased in order to raise breast cancer awareness. Then, each dress will be auctioned off at a, not to be missed, after party to raise money for the Susan G. Koman Foundation. Great fashion, great party, and great karma. Can't beat that!
Are you now all excited for LA Fashion week? I am! From your Editor-in-Chic.... I’ll see you on the streets!
