"Lately I've been waiting and I'm sure every other person in the
world is waiting for the 2010 Spring/Summer Ready-To-Wear or Paris 2010
Spring/Summer Prêt-à-Porter Fashion Week. This is the worlds "pièce de
résistance" of all of the worlds fashion weeks, which starts on Sep
30-09 and ends on Oct 08-09 with a bang.
I love New York's Fashion Week, but it has become so "Hollywood" lately
that it has become actually boring. I want to see the clothes and I do
not care which Hollywood starlet is there attending the shows and this
element has certainly taken away from the allure of attending a fashion
show.
That's why we have Los Angeles Fashion Week, so everyone can go
there and gawk over them. Everyone is vying for top billing that it's
laughable, I prefer to see the none celebrities more than I do them.
I found several looks that I can copy from the London shows and the
Milan shows, but the Parisian shows are what I'm patiently waiting to
see and which designer will knock a few home runs out of the ballpark.
Even some of the magazine editors seemed to be going through the
motions of the previous fashion-weeks by writing unenthusiastic reviews
and such.
Now on to another tidbit about the upcoming Fashion Week. Gotta love
that Kimorra Lee Simmons with being the first designer to show her Baby
Phat collection to the masses at Times Square in New York during NYFW.
Now here comes
Alexander McQueen doing
another first by streaming his runway show live via the Internet from
his website on 6 October 09. I follow McQ on Twitter and was pleasantly
surprised when he sent out a tweet stating this.
With the most of the worlds economy's being the way they are now, many
designers are using ingenious ways to get their products out to their
customers and making most of their clothing more affordable to everyone
by offering many products at various price points and through different
collaborations."
