‘The Los Angeles Spirit Award For Style and Substance’ was created by Elizabeth Mason in recognition of those who use their public persona to the benefit of a cause greater than themselves, for their commitment to philanthropy and their support of Los Angeles based fashion designers.
‘The Los Angeles Spirit Award For Style and Substance’ will name a scholarship each year in recognition of its recipient and will award this scholarship to a young fashion student who is attending design school in Los Angeles.
The Award will be given out on October 15th, 2009 at The Downtown Los Angeles Fashion Week, closing night gala fundraiser at The Geffen Contemporary Museum at MOCA with 450 attendees, (tickets are $200.00 with all the proceeds to go to the support of the programs at MOCA).
