Nicole's clientele have included some of the biggest names in music including Grammy Award-Winning Backstreet Boys, Slash from Guns N' Roses, Keyshia Cole, and others. Actresses/TV Personalities include Jaime King (“Hart of Dixie”, “Sin City”), Audrina Partridge (“The Hills”, “Audrina”), Holly Madison (“Holly’s World,” “The Girls Next Door”), and more.
Whether it’s a red carpet event, a world concert tour, an awards show, a music video, album packaging, an editorial photo shoot, or a private wedding, Nicole creates eclectic, chic, and one-of-a-kind looks for every client. Her clients consistently appear on the media’s best dressed lists and on the pages of In Style, In Style Weddings, Life and Style, People, Entertainment Weekly, LA Direct, In Rock, Rolling Stone Japan and In Touch Magazine, among others.
Prestigious red carpet events Nicole has dressed clients for include the Academy Awards, American Music Awards, MTV Video Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, European Music Awards, movie premiers, high profile charity events and the renowned New York Fashion Week.
Nicole has also styled numerous celebrity couples for their engagement photographs and on their wedding day, including multiple outfit changes throughout the reception. Most recently, she collaborated with famed Wedding Planner, Mindy Weiss, to style Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean's goth wedding looks featured in In Touch Magazine. All of her client's weddings have been featured in numerous popular entertainment TV shows and magazines.
Nicole’s fascination with fashion began when she was 5 years old and began collecting fabulous shoes for her Barbies. 36 pairs of Barbie shoes later, she was hooked! Her passion for collecting shoes continues to this day and is now one of her styling trademarks. She has collaborated with shoe designers such as Velvet Angeles, Ponce and others, on the design and development of their new collections.
Upon graduation from UCLA with a double major in Psychology and American Literature and Culture, she started searching for an artistic outlet to balance her very science-heavy job in research at the UCLA Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Just for fun, she began to write fashion reviews for small local magazines in LA. Recognizing her talent, LA Direct Magazine founders asked her to develop their fashion editorial section and as their Fashion Editor, she began styling numerous covers.
Almost immediately, publicists began asking her to style their clients for red carpet events after viewing her fashion style. Nicole then took a leap of faith: she decided to leave the world of academia and start her career as a fashion stylist…she never looked back.
Having traveled around the world three times with the Backstreet Boys as their personal stylist and travels of her own, Nicole also often draws on her love of traveling and adventure for inspiration in creating new looks for her clients. Nicole and her team scour the world in order to bring her clients the best that the fashion industry has to offer. Whether hunting through racks in a Tokyo showroom, digging in a London vintage boutique, or meeting with an up-and-coming designer in Saigon, they will not rest until they find the perfect pieces for the job at hand.
A member of LACMA’s Fashion Council, Nicole regularly attends events and lectures to learn from influential and learned people in the industry including curators from museums such as the Louvre and Kyoto Costume Institute, textile archeologists, and major designers like the Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte. She loves visiting cities around the world that have kept their fashion and textile histories alive and learning how the fashion of various periods contributed to social development and reflected political, moral, and aesthetic values.
Based in Los Angeles, Nicole Janowicz specializes in helping her clients to define, refine, and communicate their unique style and image to the public. She works one-on-one with her clients to create a style and image that are strong, able to evolve with their careers, and most importantly, reflect their individuality.
